Acknowledged nationally as a premier leader in art and design education, MICA is redefining the role of the artists and designers as creative, solutions-oriented makers and thinkers who will drive social, cultural, and economic advancement for our future.
A key visual element of this departmental brand was based on logo violations found in the institutional identity manual.
The unifying element is its signature typeface—a contemporary nod to Bauhaus geometry, with a flexible design approach to accommodate any content.







The collection celebrates work made by graphic design students during two exceptional academic years, 2020 and 2021, and recognizes conditions that impacted higher education and industries worldwide: the COVID-19 pandemic and calls for dismantling unjust systems.
